AthletesCare

FAQ

Common questions

Is AthletesCare a medical device or physical therapy?+

No. AthletesCare is an educational habit tool for general mobility, strength, balance, and recovery routines. It does not diagnose conditions or replace a surgeon, doctor, or physical therapist.

Who is it for?+

Post-op patients tracking recovery between PT visits, athletes managing return-to-play, weekend warriors recovering from minor injuries, and older adults working on mobility and balance.

How does the Recovery Readiness Score work?+

Each daily check-in scores sleep, pain, swelling, stiffness, stress, energy, and routine adherence on a 0–100 scale. The score lands in one of four bands — Recovery, Reduced Volume, Normal, or Progression — and your day's routine intensity is scaled to match.

What is Athlete Mode?+

Athlete Mode adds sport, position, and competition level. The app then generates phase-based progressions (throwing programs, return-to-running blocks, plyometric ladders) and a Return-to-Play score so you can see whether you're truly ready for contact, sprinting, or competition.

What is the Provider Portal?+

A one-tap PDF report you can share with your PT, surgeon, or coach. It includes your readiness trends, adherence, ROM measurements, milestones, and any flags. They open a link — no login, no extra software.

How is my data protected?+

Row-level security on every table, private storage buckets for photos, and random 32-byte tokens for share links. See the Privacy page for the full breakdown.

What does it cost?+

Free during the v1.0 launch. We'll publish pricing well before that changes; existing accounts will keep their data either way.

Can I delete my account?+

Yes. Export your data from Settings, then email us from your account address and we'll remove all associated rows within 30 days.

What if a routine causes more pain?+

Stop the exercise, mark it as 'made it worse' in the routine, and reduce volume the next day. If pain persists or worsens, contact your provider.
